Welshbikers job club
« on: November 16, 2009, 08:56:20 PM »
Hey Admin, strikes me theres quite a few on here now without work at the minute.

Throbbs has been working with the unemployed for over nine years now and would like to put his skills to good use by offering to starting up a sort of job club.

Thoughts behind this suggestion:-

1, CV's -  Throbbs is more than happy to knock a CV out for anyone and it's free and they work !!!

2, Top tips on how to find work, Jobcentres are a joke

3, Covering leters, How to put a letter together to send out to Employers.

4, Interviews, How to answer those tricky questions, i'll even offer to do mock interviews if anyones interested.

5, Anything else i can think of, maybe get some discounts on stuff or ideas for making the pennies go that little bit further ?

There will be a bit of form filling to do for CV and of course a couple of meet's maybe we can do a weekly or fortnighly meet somewher's, after all, we do have time on our hands init like mun.

Snags...........
1, Confidentiallity..... I can only give you my word as a fellow biker that i will not divulge any info given to me in cionfidence, in other words, no piss taking about private stuff you've told me, and of course i would expect and demand the same.

2, Costs, i'm on th dole myslef now so can't afford to shell out for paper, stamps etc but everything else will be free, occasional lifts to venues, interviews i'm happy to do for me muckers

3, Delays in replies - can't do much better than saying i'll get stuff back to you as soon as i can.

So there you go peeps, over to you, what have you got to lose other than a 26p stamp a few sheets of paper and a couple of hours with Throbbs.

As far as posting itmes is concerned we could all do our bit by keeping our ears and eyes open for jobs that may not suit us but may be of use to someone else, i don't know what else but it would be good  if it's the one topic that stays on topic.

Over to you Admin.

throbbs you are a saint  :tup2

Here goes....

One of the biggest problems people have to deal with when faced with an interview is dealing with nerves.  The whole process is unnatural and stressful. Many people fail at the interview stage because of nerves!

If you agree with the above, and wish to overcome the feeling and deal with it, I can also help.

I am willing to offer help in the form of improvisation skills and building confidence. I will provide tools and techniques that can be drawn on and used in any situation. Tools that will enable you to gain instant rapport and improve your chances of making that all important first impression.  I am more than qualified to do this stuff and have done workshops on the subject for some big companies in the UK and Ireland.

Confidentiality and encouragement is guaranteed. Please feel free to PM me if you require more info.

By the way, I have coached and mentored some big corporate speakers who have gone on to earn big bucks in the corporate conference arena.

Phil

Good of you to offer this mucka,Everything helps but work is very thin on the boad these days ,It seems like all the ringing around and the driving about posting CV,s are getting a waist of time .

If you read the thread they ARE on topic, in fact the first OFF TOPIC reply is yours  :banghead

Just a thought but if you spell on your CV anything like you do on here, i'm not suprised you've had no replies
