:taz MayDay Welsh Bikers show your support against the rising fuel costs, lets draw the interest away from this farce of an election - Now is the best time to achieve a reaction!!
I'm up for joining one on Monday and doing my bit..... Rain or Shine!

Talk no longer achieves anything with this government or politician's after all, they probably claim their fuel costs on expenses!

Hi Fuzzrr, if you can, when you get five take a look at SKY news, I only found out today about the Bikers protesting against the rising fuel costs.

They seem to be meeting up at certain service stations and then all set off at 25mph to the next services and picking up another bunch, and so on? basically slowing the motorways down and drawing attention and police resources.

Welsh bikers could group up at various meeting points along the main artery roads (A483, A5, A55 and so on) and basically grind them to a halt to draw attention to fuel costs and away from the general election!

As much as I agree to the protests. I dont think they are being done in the right way. Sporadic slow protests wont work. Only shutting down of the whole supply in this country will..... Which wont happen.

I aint going on a 'go slow'.... It hurts my wrists too much!

:help Sorry to hear you have limp wrists, I can't ride too fast coz i get scared ;-) I agree but to make the biggest impact something needs to happen while all this election stuff is going on. Can you think of anything to do in your area on Monday?

Can I just slow this thread down before it gets out of hand

1, Protests needs organising i.e months in advance this includes informing the Police

2, Griff most of this forum have been on fuel protests before I say protests instead of protest because members have organised 2

3, I know you mean well Griff & time is of the essence BUT & don't take this the wrong way but your a new member & a lot of members don't know you from Adam & leadership starts with trust

I'm all for protesting against fuel prices as the goverment are :handjob but what you have to consider is this country is bankrupt & it won't give up the income it needs from fuel prices that's a fact

:eek I agree Stig :innocent .

May I suggest forum users get out and go for a nice slow ride ok, 30mph around the wonderful roads of Wales, I like slow rides! The Sky news reader said this morning "it makes a change to see bikers riding slowly"

So just to clarify I'd like to go for a slow bike ride on Monday the 3rd of May along the A5, and I'd like to have company I probably wont get above 30mph because it is a very busy road. If i could ride down to my town of birth Cardiff, on the A483 i would but i only have one arse and it will travelling along the A5. :devil
