well i am dyslexic so no write up
but a must for all of you that leave the bike in your garage over winter
anti freeze in your water cooled bikes
and get some of this in your fuel tank mix it in and run for ten mins
it will protect your tank and stop your carbs gumming up i have used it for the last 6 years

Hi,
1. If you havent got a battery optimezer get one to keep your battery tip top over the winter
2. After cleaning your bike before hibernation give it spray with Duck oil but dont get it on your brake discs or tyres!
this helps to stop any damp ingress keeping your bike in a like new condition for next year

Hope these help

Keep riding the bike
Get some decent textile waterproof kit
Use Gerbing heated clothing

You'll extend your riding time by months

Just think of all those dry, sunny days during the winter that you wouldn't normally ride, becoming just like a summers day

Put a dry bit of carpet under the tyres.
Start it regular.
Try and get it out for a spin not for the brakes and clutch to stick a run around the block, and get the engine warmed up.

Wont be storing ours though we are hard core but free stickers we will accept  :thumbsup

i use winter to do all the little jobs and service items on the bike, my best tip is to leave the old oil in the bike over winter then change it at the start of the season, thus getting rid of any condesation or moisture that may be stored in it.

also keep the weight off the tyres, lift the bike up on stands, and add a bit more pressure in your tyres, it will preserve them for longer, if left outside get a decent cover, if need be wrap it in bubble wrap.

dont forget your kit as well winter can be a bugger for leather if left in damp conditions, hang them up somewhere warm n dry

1. Drain oil + fit filter, old oil contains acids and other gremlins.
2. Tie back clutch lever.
3. Keep tyres off a concrete floor, it degrades the compounds.
4. Check battery charge (injection models) require an optimum voltage to start. Also disconnect.
5. Thoughly clean bike, condensation in a cold garage will soon attack the metal.
6. Only cover the bike with a cover that can breathe.
7. Keep at least 3/4 tank of fuel.
8. Don't keep starting the bike unless you go for a run, only puts condensation everwhere.
9. Drain off old coolant flush, and replace antifreese.
10. Check over and oil all cables.

get a couple of cans of ACF50 anti corrosion formula.

It's not water based so it stays on the bike a lot longer than WD40 or FS365

Smells lovely too

Originally used on aircraft on carriers to stop them corroding due to the salt water spray
