I'm was a Transport Planner/Highway Engineer until 1330 today when informed of redundancy after years of committed service. So if you need highway advice for a planning applications or development plans....I'm you man.

Was told last tuesday that I never got the job I was hoping to get (FLT driver on 4 shift, £13hr which is rare nowadays) and I was feeling quite confident  after the interview,  Mexico wont be happening next year now  :no .  I then Thought, at least I still got my minimum wage packing job which is better than nothing till I find something else.  Most of us then got laid off last friday   :help  ,  comes in threes they say so I'll let you know the next set back.   On the bright side,  it gives me a week to get the house tip top for christmas which will make my wife feel a lot better as she has an awkward break of her fibula and has gotta keep her leg raised on cushions in her non weight bearing cast untill the end of January.  Just done the kitchen and bathroom,  mopped and hoovered downstairs,  got a hotpot in the oven and off to do some ironing now.   A mans work is never done.   :rofl

Shit happens well get over it (no new R1 after charismas now)

So, you don't think your wife breaking her fibula is a set back... Bet she loves you for that!  :oops :tt :tt :tt

Loads of different things in the past, labouring, shop fitting, plumbing, carpentry, qualified as a mechanical engineer working in a food production company, few other little jobs and now I work for a medical storage firm, body parts, records, samples, forensic stuff. Its interesting and I'm never short of sandwich filling's :-)  pays not anywhere near what you'd expect tho :-(
