I've been trying to think about what to write all day when stuck in work but haven't come up with anything so here goes:

i'll be the first to admit we didn't always get on, but there were plenty of good times shared.  I'm sure if things had been different we'd have had a beer this summer.
It puts into context (like MM said) how silly things are in the grand scheme of things.

Jason welcomed me into his home and gave me work when I needed it like helping him move house etc.
then there are the countless mad rides which I can't help but grin about when remembering them.
the piss taking which was always good natured

With Jas what you saw was what you got, like it or lump it.
from what I saw he lived for his kids.
I'm not good at doing sentimental but i'm doing my best to remember the laughs we had.
Watching him ragging that street triple was priceless.
And there's one thing you can't deny, he was bloody fast on a bike!
always a pain in the arse to keep up with and I could never shake the bugger off no matter how hard I tried!

One of my favourite quotes is

"we're here for a good time, not a long time"

I think Jas would have agreed with that.

Unfortunately I did not get to know BigJ, but reading through all the post's he was obviously a very popular "big man."

My condolences go out to his family and friends.

I called up Terry's this afternoon. Terry was sat on the chairs in the sun talking with a small group of people. It turned out this group were friends/family of Big J, including Christine. Not knowing either the man himself or any of his friends on here I felt a little awkward but as I was talking to Terry I had to explain. I passed on my condolences and let her know there are many on here (some like myself who didn't know him) passing on their condolences.

Throbbs ain't known for his sentimental side, but i got say peeps, after hearing the news yesterday, i just had to have so time to reflect and try and put summat sensible here.
Like many of you when first seeing jas, my thoughts were "fook me, he's a big un" and having got to know the big un over the last couple of years the Big Un also applied to the size of his heart and his passion for motorcycling and his fellow bikers.

As Jas once said to me, Tank, Him and me would have made an awesome front row for the Welsh team but alas, we never did get that phone call mucker !.

One of my favorite memories of the guy was the first day he bought that Triumph last year and we met up at Terry's for a burger, nicley filled he sat on the beast and i swear the back end went down at least 8 inches onto the springs and Jas commented, "Gonna have to get that sorted", then screamed off around that first bend leathers in the gravel, what a sight.

Jas, if yer out there dude, Throbbs gotta say you gave me some serious jaw aches and belly wobbles with your wit and humour, you will never ever be forgotten mucker.
Chris, my thought's are with you love, we never met, but rest assured you meant the world to our "Big Un".

R.I.P Jason, nah, give em hell mucker !!!!!

Andy,,,It was Rusty and me sat with Christine and her parents. You should have come and said hello!!  :thumbsup

Anyway, yes, Rusty and myself went to see Christine today. There were tears and hugs and some laughs too.
We persuaded her to have a drive up to see Terry for a bacon and egg sandwich. It was lovely...we all sat in the sunshine for an hour and laughed, cried, hugged and reminisced.

Sorry I didn't say hello. I had a word withTerry when he got up (I'd heard him telling another biker about the news). He pointed out Christine. I passed on my condolences via Terry and was on my way. I didn't think it was the time to strike up a conversation.

Big J wasn't just big in stature, he had a big heart too! He's done so much to help Rob and I since Rob's accident, from changing the breaks on our car to just coming down for a chat to make sure Rob was OK. He would do anything for anyone and he is going to be greatly missed by everyone who knew him! I'm truly gutted!

To Christine, Molly and Efan, I know that there is nothing that anyone can say or do to ease your pain right now but I hope that all these posts with memories of Jason and best wishes to you will help you, even if its just a little bit!

R.I.P. Big J.

To Christine, Molly and Efan. I am sorry for your loss but I am happy to have met you all and had the pleasure of riding with the pair of you. I am glad for that day you missed your ferry or we would have never had met. I feel sad that I won't get the chance to ride with him again over the mountain course so he can whoop my butt with his exceptional skill on a bike. As other people have said before he was a gentle giant, with a heart of gold who would do anything for anyone without a second thought.

RIP Jason you will be missed...

It's hard to know what to say, but I am absolutely speechless still. I really can't believe it.

My thoughts are with you Christine and the family.

You'll be so missed Bigj, you really, really will.

Ive had a text from Felix his computer is still broken so Ill post it for him

From Felix...
Quote

I first met Jason at the TOBY in Cardiff, when TANK took me down there..I was immediately struck by his size, but more than that his bluntness, I can't think of a more eloquent way to put it, with Jase, Black was Black white was white, and if you didn't like it...tough! He was a man who spoke his mind and put it straight on the table, even if he knew it might upset people,BUT , you knew exactly where you were with him..and for that I have the utmost respect for the man.

He was the Archetypal Gentle Giant, he ALWAYS took the piss out of me for what I ride, as he put it "The fastest bike with the slowest rider" but I know he would bend over backwards for his friends, nothing was ever too much for him, Jason was a king amongst kings, a true gentleman..and a , I can't be polite about this .."A fucking awesome rider"..

I'll miss you J....give 'em hell wherever you are my friend...and bollock them about their Chicken strips...

As Rosie said it's been a tough day for all of us , so god knows how our poor Christine must be feeling and his children Mol's and Efan and his family , just good that she has a loving close family there for her at this time ...

Some lovely tributes and words from the heart even from some of us who disagreed just goes to show how much of a impact he had on all of us.

I passed on many messages text's and pm's , of your condolences and thoughts  as i can remeber  from all of you i have spoke with in the last day or two  of which she was pleased to hear .

Christine will be in touch soon as any arrangements have been made there will be a small delay as there is to be a inquest first .

So myself or one of the mods will post  the details  soon as we have any news on that so we can pay our respects and say farewell .

She said We are welcome to attend on our bikes but it will be a family funeral as well not just bikes .

Ride safe all.

Cheers .
