Paul Owen had the best season of his career in 2009, winning the
Aberdare National Road Races 250cc class; taking 3rd place in the Welsh Open;
achieving his first ever International podium with a fantastic 3rd place
in the 250cc class at the prestigious Ulster GP and a truly incredible 13th place
in the Senior TT which saw him complete a lap of the 37¾ mile Mountain Course in a time of
18 minutes and 27 seconds, recording a speed of 196mph through the speed trap: an astonishing average 122.7mph for the lap.
Paul has not missed a TT meeting since he first raced on the island in 1996 and has won 26 bronze replica and 1 silver replica
trophies. Bronze replicas are awarded for finishing within 10% of the winning rider’s time and silver for being within 5%.
To help raise money to fund the 2010 season Paul is offering 98 people the opportunity to have their name on his Yamaha R6 for
the duration of the 2010 season. The bike will be raced at Scarborough, Aberdare, major Irish meetings and, of course, at the TT.
Membership of the exclusive #98 Club costs just £98 and offers the following benefits:
