Windy bimbly

Set off at 1.00 pm from Ponty, weather not looking too bad, but very windy.  I could feel the front wheel wobbling in the gusts and at times the wheels would skit under me, a bit, but at least your then banking into the wind.

Heading towards Llandovery, there was no terrys at Brecon, no bikers, plenty of wind over the top, nervous riding.

Turned off to Defynog, and the wind eased a lot, so took some pics, straddling the bike, buffetted about, on the side of the road… for yoo lot!

No bikes at the west end café, but took a break in the inexpensive car park, using up that old bit of kitkat from the summer, tucked away in the seat … luverly!

Great slow bimble to llanwrtyd .. great views, even stopped so u could see a bit, legs slippy on verge, vans passing on brows.  Petrol £20 and refill of kitkat £30 (juss kiddin) at Beula  (must get milk later … somewhere?).

Ahhhhh
Aaaaaahhh… so the new road out from Newbridge is now OPEN !!!!!!!!!!... great bimble along there (going to be a good little earner for the scameras).. nice and clear .. they dun a good job on the construction.

Nice ride home, a bit a traffic but not too bad, and the downpours kept off, tho I usually check the forecast first anyway … not a bad little afternoon out !

Will post pics much later on … must rush as Mam wants to eat today   : )

Bikes don't leak oil',.... they mark their territory :o)           Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight. Growing old is manditory... but growing up...well that my friends...is OPTIONAL!

Went up that way today myself. Took the TDM. Went from Swansea to Llandrindod Wells. Route taken M4 to Pontabraham, A48 to Crosshands, Llandeilo, Llandovery, onto Buela, then Builth Wells, past the show ground and into Llandrindod Wells. Left 8am this morning, had to attend a meeting. On the return journey had rain, Sugar Loaf was fun as it was covered in mist and my visor kept misting. Made it back safe and dryish. The only thing that leaked through were my gloves
