Went for a cuppa at Terry's
« on: July 08, 2010, 08:30:48 AM »
Hi

Went for a ride on Tuesday, might of been Monday :scratch and just managed to find the lead to transfer some photo's, from my phone. Plus a couple of photo's I pinched from the Net.

Anyway left Newport towards Terry's burger van for a cup of Tea. Went via Risca bypass towards Aberbeeg then up-to Ebbw Vale.

Once thru Ebbw Vale turned right onto heads of the valleys road, by Rassau. After about 1/2 mile turned off onto the B4560 it's a mountain road towards Llangynidr. Some cracking views, also mad sheep they just don't care  :surrender

First 2 photo's not mine.

Once completed the mountain road dropped down to the B4558 and turned left for about 1/2 mile then turned right at a sign indicating the Blwch, back onto B4560

Went over a small narrow bridge, had to pull into some recess on the bridge as a couple of car's coming the other way.

Not my photo

Rode up the road a bit and came out half way up the Bwlch, just before the tight left hand bend near the top of the hill.

Then after that you all know the way to Terry's so eventually got there for cup of tea.......and I was the only one there.

At Terry's Burger Van.

Shortly before leaving 2 other's turned up, separately, said my hello's and off I went home.  :tup2

Nice report!

Llangynidr mountain road is an epic piece of tarmac fair play - shame about the damned sheep though!

It is, I went thru it and came out at Terry's burger van :tup2

It was actually another bike, of someone  who took that photo. As it is a better one of the road than the one's I took.

Nice road over Llangynidir, but that nasty left hander (just over the hill in your second pic) is a feckin nightmare.

And last time I went over there a car pulled out of that t junction right in front of me!!  :handjob How much visibility do some car drivers need? It's a wide open junction for fuck sake!

First time I went over there the other week the whole road was a fecking nightmare. Didn't know where I was going and sheep everywhere :eek

And to be honest still didn't know where I was going this day either :surrender

Good fun though :tup2
