Went for a cuppa at STP and beyond
« on: July 08, 2010, 04:55:46 PM »
Hello

Went out again today. :tup2

Decided first stop from Newport would be up to see Bean (Terry) at STP. And was greeted with the usual "get the coffee on". And that's before I've taken my helmet off. 2 Coffee's it is then.............. :cheers

Upon leaving STP's I turned left and went towards Blaenavon, once thru there went onto the B4246 mountain road towards Abergavenny :tup2

Once over the mountain road came out near or in Govilion, then decided to go towards Momouth via the B4598

Stopped for photo at the gates of Clytha House

Eventually came out on the A40 and turned towards Raglan Castle. Turned off the A40 onto Groesonen Road towards Mitchel Troy. Arrived in Monmouth and said hello to the Wife  :cya as she was working up there today.

From Monmouth made my way down the Wye valley

Stopped on the bridge controlled by the light's, well it was quiet.

Some more from the Wye Valley

Ok after that I passed by Chepstow Race Course and went down the B4235 towards Usk. One of my fav road's with some nice bends. Photo's do not do it justice.

This is one of my fav bend's on this road. The 2 photo's below is one bend. Not a great photo I know.

Once in Usk went to Cearleon via the newly layed tarmac and chippings

Stopped at Llangybi

And from there onto see the Anestors in Cearleon

Then off home

Arrived home :tup2

Thanks for reading  :tup2

Yea sorry, :surrender  I just decide last minute type thing, and I made the ride up as I went along. Also  knew you were working today as you had 2 day's off in the week. And your bike is up at STP's as I seen it there waiting for the part to arrive.

I find this road totally different Chepstow to Usk direction. If that makes sense, I prefere Usk to Chepstow, but still a top road :tup2

Cheers Muffy, I think I know the road you mean the B4293? No I have not been up there.

What I may do next time is go up the B4235 from Usk to Chepstow, when you reach the T-junction turn left and left again at the roundabout on to the B4293 to Monmouth :tup2
