Wednesday run - (supermongonator recommended route)

Chamz finished work early and fancied a spin to Terry's but didn't want to go the main boring route up the A470 so I quickly thought of an alternative in my head map and went that way instead

Coming from Cardiff we went into Ponty town centre and turned right at the police station

not sure of place names but we went up through the forrestry and through some valleys to Ferndale

Then from there over the mountains to Aberdare and down the steep hill to the town centre
From there left to Penderyn and over dead sheep mountain to Terry's

Chamz wasn't impressed with the route :scratch :roll_eyes









While at Terry's some bikes pulled in, all nice new sportsbikes.  Had a quick chat and me and chamz set off back up the 470 headed for the Tiki bar.

I had to stop in Merthyr for petrol and when I pulled back onto the 470 saw the group of sportsbikes go past.

Headed off in pursuit and had a spirited bimble  :innocent with a Ducati 1098S and a new R1  :thumbsup

Was in jeans though so had to take it steady

then to the tiki bar

Nice ride on the way back though... untill some hooligans pass me on the A470   :eek while I was waiting for Pope (tbh this waitig for Pope everywhere is getting to be hard work  :innocent )

Nowt wrong with the road!!!!!!  a bit 'bald' in places but makes a change to the 470
