Hi folks still the misses here :nails cause he's still in hospital, thank you all for your well wishes, hopefully he'll be home soon to thank you himself.  Despite the operation going well he developed pneumonia and fluid on the lung but he remains in good spirits. I am the one who is getting frustrated at home trying to sort out informing the police of developments and being pushed back and forth from Gwent Police and Gloucester because neither one wants to deal with it. His nibs contacted Gloucester police the day after accident to report more diesel spills on the same road  and quess what they have no record of the call so the chances are the diesel spill wasn't treated. He's self employed and i tried to apply for his National insurance stamp to be payed but my wages and savings as well as his are taken into consideration so despite him never ever having claimed a penny he will have to take 6 - 8 weeks off work and get a big fat NOTHING !!!! Why oh why does our benefit system not help working families when they fall on some bad luck.?

hi everyone,
well im finally out(thank fuck!) two weeks to the day when i went in,the operation went very well, bloody painful thou,i had no idea that is was so serious,i had internal bleading which they said could have been fatal!.My busted rib was causing most of the problem, due to the fact that i couldnt cough to clear my chest.because i wasnt taking deep enough breaths to keep the lung expanding and infection had developed hence the phenumonia,i had to have MORE xrays, one the one early last week i was shown that the left lung was just showing a black area to my chest(this was a little frightening to see and actually realise that this was my chest that i was looking at).i then had a ultra sound to have a look inside to find out exactly what was going on.Anyway they sugested that i have intence physio for a few days!!!!!!!!!!!!!,i was thinking just chuck summit down my throat and get out what ever was in there stopping me breathing properly.
the physio said they had this new machine which they havent had a chance to see if it worked properly and did i want to give it a go?(fucking right i did, just get me sorted and outta here as soon as!)the machine was called a BIRD,basicallyit uses oxygen plugged into the wall,i suck in as much as i could and at that given time in just INJECTS a little extra oxygen into the lungs, had this 3 times over the weekend, for about 1hr/11/2hr sessions i could actuallyfeel my lung expanding as i was using it,it was fantastic.another eray revieled that it was now almost completly inflated back to normal,.
The physios (PETER AND PHILLIPA) were fantastic, without these i would still be in there,so a big big thank you to them for getting me up and about again :clap.after a few exercises etc she asked me to cough, which i couldnt, she asked why i wasnt taking any pain killers, and i said that i wasnt in any pain from my operation (the ward i was in there were some very ill people, jason opposite me had pancress problems he spent nearly aweek rolling around on the bed day and night in pain and he was on a syringe driver for his pain, the guy next to me had septisemia in his feet and he had to loose both feet from the ankle up,so as you can see when they asked if i wanted pain killers ---no ididnt want them, and i wasnt realy in any pain ,just a little uncomfortable)
my question was i surly wasnt the first one to have his spleen removed, also not the first to have a busted rib, why, why, wasnt i told to keep taking the pain killers, because if they had, the chest problem would never had happened, and there would have been another bed available for someone else?
SO,if you or some one you know has a busted rib, please tell them to take pain killers as much as they can have to ease the recovery process and to stop anything like ive had developing.
Thanks everyone for your good wishes,im gonna ring carole nash about my bike later to find out whats happening,i desperatly want my boy back but if not i did to find a replacement ready for our trip to spain in september, another vfr for definate, orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i really really want the newie vfr 1200,,,,oooohhhhhhhhh yes, bring it on  :sma

still no news from carole nash yet ,they are waiting for the parts list,.as soon as i know ill let you know.
quick question-if they write it off, would it be worth me buying it back,i dont want them to write it off i want it back, mainly because of the low milage and condition of the bike.If i did buy it and did the repairs, how would that affect the log book?when i say this i mean if i did want to sell it(and get my new vfr 1200  :sma)this would i assume come up as a write off,an i know if i was going to buy a bike and that showed up i wouldnt touch it with a barge pole, what do you think? thanks.

hi there,
just a quick update-got in touch with the garage where the bike is at the moment.I found out that the repair job is £2735.00 (kin ell!)they are still waiting for the insurance guy to let them know what is going to happen.
Im still off work, and looks like i will be for a week or so at the moment, its really pissing me off at the moment,i need to be back in work,EARNING MONEY,not out walking the streets trying to get fit again. Two weeks in hozzie soon fucks your body up,i lost a stone and a half (wont hurt me in a way-being a salad dodger anyway :rofl
All jokes aside,my legs are like jelly and my arms,my left cheek of my arse is still sore from that hospital bed!,after ive had a shower and look in the mirror at this fucking scar down my front, all i think of is to find out who that bastard lorry driver is and id love to kick the fucking day lights outta him,do him some right injuries and see how hed feel from being fit and health to someone who now has to take medication for the rest of his life!,,,im not bitter thou!!! :tap
