The Shopping Trip
« on: April 29, 2011, 11:33:48 PM »
Just a quickie and not so much a good ride but at least i got a couple of pics.
Wanted to get a few bits from the local marine fish store, some bike cleaner and had to see Mongo as well, also wanted to go on teh bike so thought why not combine both and give me chance to try riding with a tankbag for the first time in prep for the spain trip  :thumbsup
Headed to Caerphilly first via Ystrad Mynach to the marine shop, got the bits i wanted had a quick chat and left again for Caerphilthy mountain.
Wore my offroad lid today and by feck is it no good for anything over 60mph!
Neck straining and eyes almost sucked out of the sockets by the goggles pressing against them  :shocked

At the Marine Shop :

Got over the top of Caerphilly Mountain and dropped down through the lane to castle coch and onto the droll a470  :zzz

Got off at Nelson and hit the slightly misty mountain to Merthyr :

Spotted some loonies fishing at the pond on top, bit breezy and cold up here to be sat around a pond!

Got to the bike shop picked up my 1ltr of Pro Clean THE best bike cleaner ever and headed to Mongo's via the heads of the valleys.
Got there and had a nice long natter mostly about the much anticipated Spain trip while Alfie (the giant horse/dog) was sunbathing and drooling on occasions  :thumbsup

Got home around 4pm with a tankbag full of shopping, 1 x tub of fish food, some water treatment stuff, some trace elements additive stuff, 1 ltr of Pro Clean and two aerosols of bike maintenance spray and didnt even feel tha tank bag was there  :tup2

This big orange beasty is the swiss army knife of bikes  :tup2

 :nails queen of shops  :thumbsup
Bikes don't leak oil',.... they mark their territory :o)           Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight. Growing old is manditory... but growing up...well that my friends...is OPTIONAL!

Yeah cheers Dave, i looked at them and the visor design doesnt inspire confidence at higher speeds from the looks of it so i dont know if it would hold up to what i need it for, maybe be just better off sticking with the road lid on open road blasts and keep the offroad lid for summer lane use
