Sunday 10th April (not the NorthWales ride lol)
« on: April 10, 2011, 05:34:42 PM »
Headed out early(ish) this morning with the intention of meeting up with the NorthWales run crew and to hopefully follow them up for a portion of the way.

I even kicked last nights drinking into touch early to get out today so was looking forward to it, all the while the niggling anxiety that the filth would be out in huge numbers today  :scratch

After tales of them doing people PARKED UP in Terry's yesterday for plates, I admit to being slightly apprehensive about todays ride.
The fear was unfounded though as I didn't see a single traffic car/bike all day, and only the 1 usual scamera-van on the Merthyr route  :thumbsup

Met up with Mojo for the run up and we got to Terry's at about 9.15.
Shortly after Fuzzylogic, Jamestitanic Wedge Henners, DHD, Rumble and the others pulled in.
Their route was A470 all the way so we bid them farewell and headed over Defynnog to Llandovery caff.
Mojo, Wedge, FastPhil Henners and me.  The tyres get hot nice and quickly in this weather  :cool  Fun was had.

I'll steal photos taken by others as I didn't take any  :innocent

Continued in part II.....

continued............

We then saw Tankslapper who'd been out and about as well as WhizzyRascal who was out with another crew.

At this point I had to seek shade as at 10:30 the heat was relentless  :cool
Can't complain too much really.

Mojo then headed back and me Wedge and Henners headed up towards Builth over the Sugarloaf.

Wedge decided  :innocent to stop at the top for a quick couple of videos  :leaving
On the shellgrip at the top Henners had a fight with some gravel on the apex and very nearly lost  :shocked

At Garth we did a quick U-turn and followed signs for UpperChappel as I fancied taking a new route for a change.

I didn't know where this road went but we went over the Epynt ranges.
Spectacular views, glad we took a detour  :tup2

Fill up at Brecon petrol station before heading back to Terry's
Saw Keith, Tankslapper again, Jan, Rumneyrocket & Debz and had a quick bite to eat and an ice cream before heading back over deadsheep mountain and home  :tup2

Great ride today. Looking forward to next weekend already.  :thumbsup

Nuts are still aching after slapping them against the tank on Sugarloaf. :eek

Hoping the misses will have sympathy and provide a massage. :clap

It's looking like I've got more chance of a lottery win.  :nono

Great footage guys.

Good to catch up with you all yesterday. Top weather, had a good ride too.

Quite a few exotic cars about for some reason. Nearly t-boned a Ferrari 360 which decided to pull out without looking  :handjob

Hopefully the weather for the rest of the summer will be just as good.
