short bimble
« on: March 20, 2011, 08:11:12 PM »

as the dear heart has done things to my bike we had to go for a test ride - all seems fine to me  :tt :tt :thumbsup :thumbsup

so off to the Ponda for a brew and an egg buttie, some old git with failing eyesight decided no point in checking when at a junction and wanting to go straight ahead, not like any cars, bike, tractors likely to be traveling down the main road  :shocked
you know how it is you just know they are not going to look............. so prepared

mad busy at the Ponda so ended up sharing a table with this old bloke 71 to be exact. he was really interesting had been going to the Ponda for 40 years and shared a tale or two with us. going back to his first visits with L plates and the further ride to New Brighton or Liverpool on his Norton he had bought new for £500 on HP with a total payment of £750. the ladies he had met along the way with his brother and he even produced photo's/ his legs are bad now and he can't ride so does the 36 mile trip to the Ponda every weekend for his lunch in his 3 wheeler, still only has a bike license... ( had an image of Del Trotter at this point)

so spare a thought when visiting your bike pit stops for a brew that some old bloke is no different just wanting to soak up the atmosphere

does my bum look big in this.....

Bikes don't leak oil',.... they mark their territory :o)           Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight. Growing old is manditory... but growing up...well that my friends...is OPTIONAL!
