....don't ya just looove insurance companies  :banghead  :banghead

Yes Snoopy
You can't trust them as far as you can throw them. :handjob
Just a quick word on cost so far.
I tried to save as much as i could on this trip but it seems it will be slightly over  budget. :shocked

Main costs so far was the ferry crossings, fuel and accommodation.

Harwich to Hoek                                          £125
Puttgarden to Jordby                                  £50
Toll Bridges                                                  £22
First night hotel Neumunster                       £50
Second night   Lund                                     Free    I had bonus hotel points for this
Third Night                                                   Free     Stayed at my cousins place.
Fourth Night                                                 £80
2X Nights in Umea                                      £150
Car Fuel                                                        £35
Flight back to Sweden                                  Free
Repair                                                              ?
Hotel Neumunster  Homebound                   £50
Ferry's  Home                                                £175
Fuel                                                               £420
Food    approx                                              £150
My 5th and 6th was the stinker which cost me £150 for 2 nights,i wasn't planning on this as i was going to stay with a friend  in Bodo.
The flight home was courtesy of insurance, but needed to pay fuel for the hired car from Gatwick

As i work in Norway i have a return flight paid for by the company, they are very flexible and i can change my return flight to anywhere in Europe as long as the cost doesn't doesn't exceed the price of my original destination flight.

What's left is the repair,as i mentioned a friend is sending some refurbished injectors over so i can get home, i have asked the shop if i can do this myself to save on labour. Not sure this will be ok though so i am looking at a hefty cost here.
The work should take 5 to 6 hours so will wait and see.
If i get the bike running i will stay with my cousins place once again and then ride straight down to Nuemunster
The next day i'll ride to Hoek and catch the ferry back to Harwich.

Total fuel per day was around £35x6 =210 and looking to double this on the way back.
The food bill was a bit lower as most places i had free breakfast and most of the hotels had a free buffet on in the evening.
This is just an approx at the moment and still under £1500  :sweat,i'm hoping to keep the total cost under the 2 mark if i'm lucky.

I think on my next trip i wil be taking a tent  :scratch,to try to cut down on accommodation costs or if anyone knows someone in Croatia let me know.
Preferably a blond bombshell. :rofl  :leaving

:rofl :rofl :rofl Still what a trip  :tup2

Not really a rideout report but more of a recovery report. :help
Anyway fwk the insurance i got my bike back. :censored

Flew over last tuesday to Umea and started working on the bike changing out the injectors.
Straight fwd job really the bike was up and running in a couple of hours. :thumbsup
Quick change of oils and i was ready to go again.
Managed to get to the lower part of Sweden in glorius weather by wednesday evening bike going great.

Thursday morning different kettle of fish, pouring down and didnt let up all day. :no
Crosssed over to Denmark jumped on the ferry to Germany and got in to the Wittorf at Neumunster late afternoon.
Dried off everything by the morning, those hotel hairdryers are handy, must have cost them a fortune in electricity. :leaving
Friday morning set off for Holland and another soaking in prospect, didn't relly mind as the bike was going well.
Got to Amsterdam by lunchtime as was hoping to catch the ferry at 14.30 to Harwich but traffic put paid to that.
The next ferry was at 22.30 but that one was allready fully booked so at this time i was looking at riding down to Calais to get over via the tunnel. :scratch
Had a quick stop for fuel and got chatting to some Danish bikers and they said they were going with the Ijmuiden to Newcastle ferry at 17.30.
Couple of quick phone calls and jobs a good un. :thumbsup
16 Hrs later and i arrive back in UK. :tup2
Rode down from Newcastle in the worse weather possible but hei i didn't give a  :censored,i got my bike home.

So thats it,total mileage was 3,400 miles total cost wel umh :scratch
Still counting that one. :rofl
Would i do it again? Oh yeeeeees had a fab time and some good wet weather experience. :eek

Anyway thats it ,Norway is still a blooming long way,but the rumour is that there will be a ferry starting up again next year from the UK, so will be a little closer next time. :tt

Thanks for all the well wishes and comments.

Welsh Biker and bike safely home.
