Nice early morning blast

Me and a couple mates set off for an early morning blast , left llandod at 9 headed over to newbridge, then over the top to beulah, hot footed it over the sugar loaf to Llandovery and stopped for a cuppa at the west end cafe



Parted company with the one lad so it was up to the 2 600's to make the most of the next road, so we headed over brynaman pass aka top gear road to test out the hairpins, cracking road and great views





From there headed for Merthyr, turned left to take the scenic route up to the top of beacons, cracking road could ride quicker if it wasn't for the sheep lol

Stopped at terry's for a brew, rain started comin in so we high tailed it back to Llandrindod via Brecon, took the back road to avoid Builth and made it back in good time.


Only did about 122 miles but made the most of the good weather and tight twisty roads, definitely on my to do again list.

Best of all made it home just in time for moto gp

That's quite a decent little route taking in the blacks.  Shame I have to do the 470 every time I want to get up there.

shouldn't knock the A470 too much
If you ride it absolutely flat out from Merthyr to Cardiff it's twisty enough at really high speed to be interesting and rips the sides of the tyres apart making you look like a hero

Yeah but you do have to watch out for the mobile scumra van on the stretch from Merthyr to Aberdare roundabout!
