My first big bike ride.
« on: March 13, 2011, 10:12:59 AM »
Picked up my Er6-f yesterday. Wow, though restricted, more than happy with performance. Bit nervous at first but soon got more confident, seems easier to ride than my YBR as the power is there now. Getting used to the increase in weight as it is trickier getting on/off. Love the thumpier sound of the engine and the difference in acceleration.  Love the digital dashboard with all the info it gives out. Love the protection from the wind the fairing and screen gives, what a difference in comfort ! Was torn between riding it or watching the match, what a day, new bike, Wales and Italy winning, just need the jocks to beat england for the perfect weekend! Grinning like a grinny thing! :cheers

Glad you are happy with it. I was so close to buying the 6f, took it for a test ride and loved it. Only thing that stopped me was the dealer. Pretty powerful for starter bike and comfortable to ride.
Keep safe and enjoy!

Bikes don't leak oil',.... they mark their territory :o)           Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight. Growing old is manditory... but growing up...well that my friends...is OPTIONAL!

No its not. Its a screw on the throttle body that stops the throttle opening all the way.  They are prone to vibration and tend to unscrew and fall out...... :innocent

Great to see your happy with the bike  :thumbsup
