God what a day

Was going to have an early start today

but all went pearshaped when i rang Bellends Insurance and told them i had changed the colour of my bike.

told me that i wasn't allowed to do any mods on the bike and this includes changing the colour

.
Fwk that for a game of soldiers, moved on quickly to Bike Sure.
Anyway insurance sorted and ready for a run

noticed the front tyre was slightly worn on one side,

I'm sure it was ok on Monday, measured across and less than 75 % tread , o shit.
New law states any bald patch is now illegal.
Got on the phone with Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth for a quote the for Michelin pilot 2

.
Oh well had to have one so shot down to Aber and when i got there he told me the rear was not so good either.
Swallowed the bitter pill and went for the 2,had to take both wheels off myself and was a bit of a struggle as my bike is imperial and all they had was metric tools, luckily i had most of what i needed.
Everything on by 1,have to say the boys there were very helpfull with everything so i recommend them as long as you know your bike.

Back up to Mach and thought i need to do some running in now so decided on some of my favourate roots again.
Made my way to Mallwyd on the A470 just before Dinas Mawddwy quick grub at the petrol station cafe, very good food highly recommended, took a right at Dinas and up over Bwlch y Groes.
If you haven't been this way it's a good road single track and it will take you over the mountain to Bala.(They used to test the old Austin 7 there in the 30s)
Anyway over to Bala and onwards to Ffestiniog through to Betws, quick paned and chat, loads of Harleys with dicks onboard.

Snowdon here i come, went on the A5 turned for Capel Curig and down to Tremadog.
Stopped at Eric Jones Cafe, for those who don't know who he is,he is a bit of a legend round that part, skydiver and accomplished climber.
Some Wiki (Eric Jones (born c1936) is a Welsh solo climber, skydiver and BASE jumper.
He is most well known for the first British solo ascent of the north face of the Eiger)
In his 70s and still skydiving.

Had a quick chat and would like to give his cafe a mention, very biker friendly and they also have accommodation for bikers as well. He's a keen biker so you won't go wrong there if you require a stop over.

Anyway that's all folks will have run out on monday doing the Robin Jac run from Bala.
Robin Jac Edwards was regarded as one of the most flamboyant figures in the history of British motorsport.
Known as one of the fastest men on two wheels, his near 100mph speeds at the Isle of Man TT races were awe-inspiring in 1940s Britain.
