bimble2

Welllllllllllll. Still haven’t sorted out the small bike, but at least I can still get out on the blade.
Only been out a handful of times this year due to injuries, so went for it midday again, and ended up going the exact same route as last time .. getting only as far as  Crosshands and  Llandovery, which is plenty for me at this time of year, especially with teeth falling apart, chilly winds.
I had intended to go the reverse way around, through upper chapel, but at the Brecon bypass that open road is just too tempting and I was yahooing  it  (slowly) towards glasebury again, sun shining, roads getting drier, traffic starting to thin out, fabulous scenery … its wot riding is all about.
Put heated grips on just to feel even cozier, and content to bimble slowly along looking at the countryside.
A gang of trail riders passed in the opposite direction, so grey with mud that I couldn’t make out bikes or riders. I stopped and filled up and continued on my way.

I nodded to every single rider, but few barely returned the nod, but that didn’t put me off as I was grinning at my own ride.  I think I am getting slower and slower as I get older and the blade barely gets a work out these days, but it’s the time of year I tell myself.
I stopped at the fields I usually stop at.. no sheep today .. but not to worry, I can google them on the maps later .. ha ha.  I decided to stop off at the west end café, to give the girls a treat and fight with the guys, but everyone ignored me (phew) ..
no-one talks do they? But then I was only in there 2 minutes for tea and cake, then oft back home.  Was passed by two fast riders hurting through those tight bends (golly gosh how do they do that) but had a little blast later myself when the roads opened up a bit, reaching nearly 60 in parts .. ha ha.
Really must give the blade a good service soon, or at least an oil change.
will get a new camera soon too as gave the old one away.

Sounds like you enjoyed yourself.
Not to worry about lack of chat in West End Cafe. Bikers were probably so gobsmacked at prices they'd lost power of speech; try Tudor's Cafe next to pedestrian crossing next time.
