A lot of this "EU bullshit" stems from the need to standardise regulations governing driving vehicles across the EU due to the fact that so many drivers from the constituent countries drive across borders these days.

Have you seen for example the tests that Polish lorry drivers have to pass to be let loose with a 40 ton killing machine?

Apparently, some can claim full HGV licences having passed their tests on agricultural tractors. Now that is OK if they are sticking to their own streets, but with so many seeking employment in the UK, something needs doing.

Considering the hoops that UK HGV drivers have to go through in this country to be trusted with such huge machines, it makes sense that the EU works toward standardising the processes and test standards to the highest possible denominator, it might be one of those lesser qualified EU jockeys that cause us a problem when they come over here!

Having said that, the new rules regarding large bikes does seem a little harsh!
