Hello,

After two successful years running free motorcycle assessments, the Powys Road Safety Unit will now be offering the full Bikesafe course for a subsidised fee of £15. The course will include a full day with the police riders and will cover road craft and involve a much longer and thorough ride. For as little as £15 you will get the full accredited course, lunch with refreshments, and complimentary riding aids (including a copy of the highway code, police road craft manual, visor wipes, bike stand pucks, ear plugs and more).

The course is recognised by a large number of insurance companies and more importantly can refresh skills and promote greater safety.

Courses will be held at County Hall, Llandrindod Wells and will be on Saturday's.

We currently have two dates.

24th April 2010
5th June 2010
More to Follow (July + September + October)

If you are interested or would like more information please contact me.

Kind regards

Peter Wright

As you all know Ranger & myself have tried & tried to get the subsidised bike safe course around the Swanse/Cardiff area for months & have had no joy we even invited south wales police to arrange a basic rider improvement course which our members can put some money towards the cost but still no answer

This seems a shame as they are very willing to spend millions of pounds on advertising where if they put half of that money in to a training course it would have a much better effect on rider safety & awareness

just got offered one of these today, our regiment has been allocated 2 slots on the gwent police bikesafe course 21/22 jun, and it was one of my mates that took the call, so my name is down, just waiting for all the details to land on my desk  :thumbsup

after 24 years of riding on and off, this the first time i'll have had my riding skills looked at (apart from test of course) , hopefully i'll learn loads and i won't have to just rely on my jedi powers and good luck for a change   :roll_eyes
