DAS south wales
« on: April 14, 2011, 10:32:21 AM »
I'm looking to get my licence over the next few months and also need to do my CBT but only have a maximum budget of £500. Does anyone know any training schools that are good in south wales that could do it for £500?

Thanks

Do you have your own bike ?
Will it be a restricted license ? If you have your own 125 and take test on that, it will be A little cheaper, but I doubt if you will get it all done for that unfortunatly ..

Joy Riders located nr Chepstow might be able to help for the budget you specify. Think that's the sort of money Mrs Addict paid.

Look them up, it's Mick that you'd need to speak to.

BTW... if you have the option of using your own bike, this WILL make a difference, but not sure of the %age, however.

Good luck.

My wife has recently passed her test on a 125 and now rides a GS500... ok, so it has to be restricted to 33bhp for 2 years but you could always restrict your dads old ER5 too... You would, of course, need to get your hands on a 125 to learn / pass on and all in all, including the restrictor kit, you're probably looking at roughly the same cost... But it wouldn't necessarily have to be a bulk payment of £500, but would pay for it in stages as you completed each part... ie. Pay for and complete the cbt, then wait a few weeks while you practice (and save a few more pennies), then do module 1, a few more weeks of practice before module 2, etc... It'll take longer, perhaps, but for us it was the more affordable way to do it...

Just a thought, hope it helps... :)
Ride it like you stole it!!!

Don't go near Bevans or anybody associated with Bevans they are in my opinion lying crooks

They just operate from the same building, they don't work for and aren't owned by bevans, Tony and Steff are great guys...
