The dates for this years Bikesafe courses are on their webite You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login £110 for 2 days training but loads of areas are subsidised to £30.

I did it last year along with a few WB's and learned a lot, plenty of food and freebies too  :thumbsup

If you've only been riding for a few months it's well worth a look.

What proof do you have to give that you live in the area in order to qualify for the discounted rate? I live and work in Swansea but keep my bike at my parents house in Cardiff (and stay there most weekends) so it would be easier for me to do it in Cardiff. My drivers license still shows Cardiff as my address and my bank statements still show the Cardiff address too if I need to provide proof of living in Cardiff.

I guess you have to show some sort of proof or everyone would claim the discount! Also noticed on the website that you have to ring up to be given a code in order to claim the discount when you register online. So wondering how they check that you are a resident if it is done over the phone???

Just curious to know what they will ask me/what proof I will need over the phone before I ring up!

Anyone able to advise?

When I called to book up for Cardiff on 28/29th May the woman on the phone just asked my name and address then handed over a discount code to use online. Being as you 'live' in cardiff (according to your license anyway) I can't see any issues arising. Although I have never done the course so have no idea what they check on the day. Maybe see you in May then (if not before)  :thumbsup

They'll ask to check your licence on the day and that was it (I think, I might have been insurance too! lol) but there are no issues with addresses etc

Enjoy it!  :thumbsup
