33 bhp choices
« on: December 16, 2011, 07:22:12 PM »
:scooter  Just passed my Mod 2 on my 125 Yamaha ybr, now looking to sell and upgrade to a bigger bike. Nothing too much of a jump right now. Anyone got thoughts on the Kawasaki Ninja 250   :scratch?? I guess I could get a bike restricted, but don't want anything too heavy. Looks like a good bike to start on (by the way, I like my sports bikes).  :cya

:i_agree to, I went from a 125 to a 500 restricted, and the 500 was easier to ride than the 125  :thumbsup

if you do get the ninja you might find that before your 2 yrs are up you will be bored with with it , you may be better off with a 600 (fazer/ diversion ) restricted, after 2 years get the restriction lifted and the bike will have a new lease of life ( they are not much heavier  ninja 168 kg fazer 189 kg)
whichever way you go stay safe .

agree with the above, don,t waste your money on a 250 go for a larger bike you will only regret it a few months down the line, try out as many bikes as you need to before you buy,you will be surprised at how much easier it is than a 125, most bikes can have the seat lowerd so that you can place both feat flat to the ground,so the little extra weight should not make to mutch of a difference take someone with you to hold up the bike when you are sat on it to see if the seating possision is right for you if it does not have a centre stand, :tup2

go with an sv650 or the gsr650 and get it restricted, easy to unrestrict when your license allows

Don't buy from fowlers!

They're money grabbing bastards with rubbish aftersales service (at least thats the general opinion of everyone I ask about them).

south wales superbikes was the shop I got my bike from, decent folk and nowhere near as tarred with a bad reputation as fowlers.
