Would be interesting to hear some opinions on the Simoncillie (however you speeel it) and Pedrosa (brittle bone) altercation....

I have my views, would be good to hear other peoples perspectives.

It can probably be discussed for a LONG time and it'd be interesting to hear what people thought.

It's a shame that Simoncelli can't appeal a ride through penalty as even if his appeal were granted he wouldn't get his previous position back  :thumb_down

It was a racing incident.  They're being paid to race, not to follow each other around.

It's unfortunate that Pedrosa got injured as the last couple of races he's been really flying and things have been looking up for the little guy  :thumb_up
That said, Simoncelli had received a few complaints about his 'style' lately so pressure was on race control to do something and a ride through was their decision.

Simoncelli seemed to have passed Pedrosa when the incident happened, excellent riding and true racing spirit methinks. The ride through decision was made hastily and very wrong. :scooter

It was the wrong decision in my opinion.

It should have been investigated after the race and any subsequent penalty then applied.

It pisses me off when riders like stoner and lorenzo complain about a bit of fairing bashing because it proves that all they can really do is put in fast laps as long as they dont have to compete with anyone! The moment someone challenges them for position, they complain about dangerous passes and riding styles!

Sideshow Bob was much faster than Dani,  it was a gutsy move but he was well past and gave enough room! Had they not clashed, Dani would not have caught him again so I think it should have been considered a racing incident!

It was very unfortunate that Dani got injured because it means we'll have one less bike challenging for the podium which makes for boring viewing! :zzz At this rate, I could even go out score a world championship point, on a scooter! :scooter

Agreed. Racing incident. End of.

I hope Simo continues to ruffle feathers (without further injury of course). Perhaps Dorna will realise that the "pussies", as Valentino so elegantly described them, need to wipe their minges and man up a bit.

Racing incident, end of. The rest of them need to grow a pair or MotoGp will end up like the farce that F1 is.

People have short term memories too. This was far worse in 2006 that near cost Hayden his championship.

 :i_agree :i_agree

Feel sorry for Dani getting injured but they ride bikes that can 200mph so at some point, your going to get hurt.  Should they have given Rossi a penalty for taking out Stoner a couple of races ago?  Now that was a real "Banzai" move.

Racing incident. Grow a set.  Get them to watch some BSB.

Funnier clip was seeing Stoner punch dePuniet, after de Puniet looked as if he was trying to get out of stoners way.

MotoGP is already starting to get a bit boring without punishing riders for overtaking.
