get flashed doing 39 in a 30 , and then make up a sign that says 40 and stick it up where you got nicked and hey presto you have grounds for appeal against your fine

on similar note - mny years ago a chap living on the brecon to aber road on the 'old' talybont turn off was sick of people speeding past, so made a mock up speed camera and put it in the hedge!

Used to fool a lot until he was made to remove it!

there was a dickhead on cowbridge road that did the same and made up his van to look like a speed camera van

I was thinking 'is the background meant to be yellow' if just a speed sign. I lnow they can have a yellow background if they have something else on them.

cracking idea though...they should re route the money ploughed into scamera vans and use it for REAL police..

Scumera vans don't catch stolen cars & bikes...or drink drivers..or non insured drivers , who , in the event of a smash are more likely to fook off at a rapid rate of knots...


In my opinion, the more that can be done to disrupt this menace the better.....it's just an excuse too generate money, it's got bugger all to do with road safety!!!! :handjob

TBH I went into town the other night on the bus and they were all over the place on the road. :-)

As I know the road and its speed limits they have never registered with me. Somehow I have always thought they had a white background.

The number has always registered, just not the background. :thumbsup
