Lads & Lassies, just take the lids off if asked, some over zelot might phone the cops and in the conversation get things mixed up,next thing is your looking down a barrel of a 9 mm H&K,and you might get shot------no bull,----------they are now warning mums not to by toy guns for their kids, just in case some T**t phones the bill and they come with their H & K looking for Al.

In my area (Blackwood) All the trouble is with the local Chav tossers who fill up cars in their hats and drive off! Do the cashier ask them to remove their hats before allowing them to fill up? No otherwise they would catch more of them! One station wont allow you to fill up until you have paid for your fuel first! Its discrimination i tells ya!!!! :sma

I've always either got ear plugs in so I never listen to what the cashier says anyway just walk in and put the cash down and walk out... lol

either that or use pay at the pump, actually that's a point..... how do unmanned petrol stations work then? they must have the same "legal requirement" and yet there's no way to enforce it there.... so it shows that's bollocks otherwise there wouldn't be unmanned 24hr stations.

what we should do now is craft a letter to that numbnuts who responded to the stig and ask them to justify every unmanned waitrose station's ability to fullfill their legal obligation to serve fuel.

I filled up after work in Waitrose the other night......

Walked into the shop , and I was the only one in there.....
and got told "YOU HAVE TO REMOVE YOUR HELMET BEFORE I CAN SERVE YOU".

I said "NO"

Placed my tenner on the desk in front of her, pointed at the CCTV , then pointed to my tenner and walked out......... :thumbsup

ive had something similar at the BP garage opposite maindy pool, stopped there at 2am and he wouldnt authorise the pump, he said that as I didnt have a number plate on the front of my bike I had to pay first before fuelling!

Surely there's no need to take you lid off if you have the front flipped up, that's just pathetic. :taz

I have no problem with the garage I use, I point to my helmet indicating removal and the guy  just shakes his head, meaning leave it on.

Garage opposite St.Woolos Hospital, Stow Hill, Newport :thumb_up  (which name escapes me :scratch )
