i try n use the pay at pump machines nowadays wherever i can, that way no argument and simple easy fuel purchase.

in the height of summer lol, i actually prefer to take my lid off and take my time when filling up, takes longer and hogs the pump more

If the attendant tells you to take the lid off,ask her/him,to come out to fill up the bike,as you have had no training in pump operation, and the handling of highly inflammable liquid,or you have a skin complaint that is aggrivated by fuel contaminated rubber (On the nozzle) then if they do oblige you to fill up,and perish the thought, get a drip on the outside of the tank, create fuck, and say you will claim damages. :devil

I think this is the best plan yet... The one most likey to wind the cashier and managers up!!... the amount of time taken for a memeber of staff to leave their till and go out to the pump will be obscene.. Then they have also got to get off their nice comfy seat and go out in the pissing rain... not to mention another 20 bikers round the corner, each with the same problem!! Pissed off or what!  :clap

I dont actually have a problem being asked to take my lid off.
I wouldnt expect to be able to walk around Marks and Spencers with it on so why should I expect to be able to stand in a petrol station wearing it.

Its actually never happened to me...and yes it might be a bit of a pain but cooooommmmme onnnnnn....there`s a damn site  worse things going on in life.

Take one of these :chill_pill
Take your lid off...
pay for your fuel .....

and go on your merry way. :scooter :scooter :scooter :scooter

Does anyone know how to use sign language? Something like 'I don't know what you saying I'm deaf' that should confuse them.

i) Hold your right hand in a fist and make a circular motion on your chest.
ii) Your index finger (right hand) points to your middle finger of left. Keep your left hand held open.
iii) Hold both hands with the index fingers extended. Then bring your index fingers together so their sides touch.
iv) Tap your ear with your middle fingers of your right hand.

Basically that says "Sorry, I am deaf".

That should confuse them.

Andy.
The instructions said "Use Windows XP or greater" so I installed Linux!
A Life? Cool! Where can I download one of those?
