Tyres fitted at home with DC motorcycle tyres
« on: July 14, 2011, 10:33:12 AM »
Just had the rear replaced on the blade, bit of an emergency as the Pireli was down to the blocks..

The Pireli is OK but once it starts to flatten off, it wears down pretty quick..

So i thought for a change, i would have the same front and rear. So i went for the Conti sport attack to match the front i had replaced a couple of weeks ago.

180 55 zr 17 £139 fitted and ballanced..

Current Ride CBR900 rr the wild thing...

Another plus for DCMT from me.

He came across to Swansea for me (OK, it cost more but my tyre was.... well... bald-ish, officer; no way I had time off work to get it done).

Mentioned my front pads were VERY low. So today I changed them... did the first side and wondered a bit what he was talking about as they were both OK, and when I got the first one off the other side that was OK too and I started having bad thoughts about trying to drum up extra work...  then I saw the last one and it was about a thou off metal-to-metal. Turned out to be stuck caliper guide pins. So a top spot from him and I beg apologies for thinking nasty things....

Great to hear about a good mobile tyre fitter.
As Trevor Richards in Pontardulais is just down the road I will stick with him as very competent & prices keen.

+1 with DCMT
always good prices and service and like's been said above nice fella too - TBH I'd rather put work/money his way than most of the shops I've been to. He's saved my arse a few times with flat tyres :tup2
