:shocked   Theres a few of these ..people missing the bends ect   :eek  :eek
Bikes don't leak oil',.... they mark their territory :o)           Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight. Growing old is manditory... but growing up...well that my friends...is OPTIONAL!

There's a cracking lack of skill with many of those riders and drivers. Too fast to be able to stop - or cope with the unexpected, no cornering ability, etc etc.

It's much like many roads in Wales, but unusual in America which are usually wider and straighter. Aparrently it's swarming with police on weekends, much like the A470. You don't need to kill yourself on any road. I've been round the TT course many times on Mad Sunday, I've been overtaken by lunatics and also by people who look like they know what they're doing. There's always somebody faster unless your name is Stoner.

Don't get sucked into a duel, ride at your own pace. If someone is riding quicker on a moped, let them carry on - it might be Spies or Edwards.

/ I noticed that most of those incidents were on right hand bends. Anybody ever wondered why NASCAR racers only turn left?

last Summer my hubby did that road - he says it's every bit as scary and exciting as it looks. they did it on a Sunday and was packed with other bikes.- big bike meeting place
the memorial that is mentioned is called the Tree Of Shame and hanging from it all sorts of bike parts, with also a warning notice to beware of falling items
the photographer takes loads of pics and had his own web page for you to buy pics of yourself

don't plan on doing it myself any time soon as I don;t like bendy roads  :nails  :nails

does my bum look big in this.....

Not for me... Unless I used one of these  :tank

Too many things stacked against you, I could have just as much fun on a safer road.

And I've ticked enough boxes on the stupid list of biking anyway!

There's another youtube clip of a guy riding Deals Gap on a Gold Wing, it's unbelievable.

I would love to do that road. I'm not a speed freak, but no slouch either, in fact......don't laugh........I have been overtaken by a lunatic on a pushbike on the twisties leading off of the Black Mountain on the Llandovery side when I got caught up in a cycle race over the mountain..  :wheelchair :sweat  :2guns :rofl
Sometimes I ride to forget, but I never forget to ride.

Those lorries cause havoc! I'd be too scared to press on in case there was one blocking the road around some blind bend!

There was a video of a rider v rider crash on youtube, guy lost it on a corner and his bike flew across the road and took out a rider on the opposite lane.

That's what i'd be afraid of, the idiots having not done any training (not required in america can learn on any size bike) and trying to keep up with their buddies.
