He probably deserved a ticket or two but I think the police took it too far just for a seat belt, tinted windows and a iffy number plate

I thought that the blue lights and siren of the pursuing car meant the officer was giving me a police escort home.

:rofl :rofl :rofl Genius!

Does seem a little heavy handed though as they would have known he was a pensioner from the earlier stop!!!

To the uninformed this looks appalling and a full investigation ought to be carried out.  :nono

Taking that long to smash the window is downright incompetent. Any self respecting thief would take less than a second and succeed first time. Furthermore, once the door was open those officers neglected to use pepper spray, batons or generally kick the sh*t out of this dangerous offender thus ignoring the first rule of combat, that of overwhelming force.

Surely, this makes an argument for arming the police

He didn't take into account tinted windows are a bastard to smash  :nono

the old guy wasn't speeding, wasn't violent or armed (he had been stopped a few seconds earlier)

So the use of force wasn't justified.
The IPCC will rule in the old dudes favour I reckon

I'm sorry, but what do you expect if you don't stop when a police car is chasing you?

"Thought they were giving me an escort home" my arse.

Did anyone notice the car that stopped to assist?

The one officer seemed very keen to send him on his way, I wonder why :scratch

These are the same police rules that allowed police with Tazers to use them on a ten year old girl and an eighty five year old man. Don't it make you feel safe they are looking out for you. :old
