also is it just taxi drivers and white van men the only people you've had an issue with on the road whilst you've been on your bike??? i don't think so

No Robert, there are plenty of others. BUT....Taxi drivers and white-van drivers are "professional" drivers, and as such should be setting an example. Unfortunately, I see too many of these types using phones, pulling out without looking, etc. I can think of no reason why anyone should use a phone while driving - no phone call is that important ....... and proper hands-free kit is easily and cheaply available.
Don't get me started on BMW (and Merc) drivers !

Ohh Shit, I drive a "WHITE VAN"  and I drive a "MERC CAR" and, and, I TOW A CARAVAN, and on the weekend I RIDE A BIKE FAST lol
Shall I go and stand in the corner

OK, just to clear up my earlier post.
It appears that the officers were there as a result of local complaints (PACT meetings etc) and the operation was aimed at antisocial behaviour etc. The biker with the speed gun was a cop, not the SCP guy who normally rides a bike. Straight cough on that point. One of the main aims was high-visibility presence - and this thread proves that bit worked. Anyone who was over-speed can expect letters through the post shortly. :eek

Just for that misdemeanour alone you should be burnt at the stake, or made to drag a pikey cabin between midnight and 6am, if caught outside these times then said pikey cabin should be confiscated, filled with xfactor contestants and burnt to the ground there and then  :thumbsup
