Just come across the most fearless riders after Moto gp riders. London dispatch riders. What a bunch of fecking idiots!!  Fair play tho, filtering skills second to none.

I guess they need those skills up that way. My son lives in Osterley Park near Hanwell. He used his motorbike to commute back and forth to work, needless to say his skills wasn't good enough up that way, he got thrown off his bike, bike was a right off, but son was ok thankfully apart from bad bruising in his groin and damaged ego  :sweat

Lucky it was just bruises and a damaged ego. London busses, black cabs and cyclists are the worst ones. Had my mirrors bent back a couple of times by a bus. A biker nearly got hit over by an impatient chav, a second later and he would have gone over the bonnet. I hate delivering in London, would hate to ride the bike here as well.

Ye it was a cabbie that was also involved, but sounds like both were to blame as my son wasn't sure of the lane position he was in was correct or not and the cabby should have see him. But he was fine so thats the main thing.

Probably in the next week or two. I have the next three Sundays off so you should see me before the end of the month. How long would the ride last Trafford?

As long as I keep her indoors happy this weekend I should be able to do longer than an hour.

I was working up in London a few years ago and Saw how those despatch riders in London deal with things first hand. quite funny really. Wish I had my camera on me.
one was filtering down the two lanes and a builder's  van must've seen him coming and angled inwards slightly, in an effort to stop him passing, as the rider just scraped thru taking a layer off his bar ends, he kicked the van.  The driver of the van jumped out and caught him a couple of cars in front at a junction and started laying into him.
Another dispatch rider that saw what happened, jumped off his bike and ran to aid the other rider and started laying into the van driver.  'Damn unfair that'!! I thought..  Next thing I knew, a bunch of scaffholders from a lorry behind, ran past  me and got stuck in.. guess the guy in the van must've been their mate..
So glad I was in a car. Would've looked bad me sneaking round the outside on my bike, just to get away... LOL.

Did that for a few years a long time ago.  Taught me alot about riding but I wouldn't go back.  All week riding, all weekend in the pub.
