Brecon today
« on: July 08, 2011, 07:10:12 AM »
Sitting at home, looking out the window & thinking that I have to be in Brecon by 9.00 .It is raining heavily now & probably worse to come.
Get to Brecon to marshall the RAS de Cymru. Started Wed & goes on to Sunday. I hope it,s not going to rain every day.
Poor bloody cyclists doing 50 miles today in lycra.
The British Paralympic Cycling team are there too. fantastic athletes.

If you see me passing Terrys in the next few days , sorry I won't be stopping but give me a wave , two fingers will do. Silver Pan with very high viz uniform.

Hi Trafford. Have a good one. I know some of those cyclists can shift! But just think, as you're travelling along past all those cafes and burger vans.... The smell of bacon through the rain...  Yum.  It'll make it all the more rewarding at the end.

I'm just off to Bournemouth on my bike so a good soaking for all today I think.

Take it easy.

You're  right Foodie. Lots of burger vans about. I also saw the 3 Bulls pub advertising as a bikers pub or bikers welcome .
Well around 200 miles today, same yesterday & more to come on Sunday.
Oh the cyclists did have little plastic macs on today for some of the race. Big woosies , only 50 odd miles for them today.

Sunday will start from Abergavenny & will go round heads of valleys rd & no doubt up & down some long hills too.
