Aprilla dealer advice.
« on: May 13, 2011, 07:11:19 PM »
I fancy the new Aprillia Turno ARPC it looks awsome. My problem is that.

 A)  I have to find the cash.
B) the only dealer round here. ( just outside Cardiff ish) is Kick Start Motorcycles in Port Talbot.
C) paying the insurance.

so A) is sorted by the friendly bank man.

B) Is my real question Is Kick Start M/C good or bad Ive done some searches and they some times dont get rave reviews, I work really hard for my cash and do expect really good service if Im going to part with quite a lot.
The nearest other dealer to me is a longway away so it would be a pain if I got pissed off with the service at Kick Start M/C.

C) MMMmmmmm might be lots but there you go.

Cheers G.

No personal experience from the service side of kickstart but they where cheerful enough when I've been browsing. My mate swears by them and had used them for years without a problem. Where there any good reviews?

Exacly as you say you only live one so If it makes me smile when I ride it id have one.

It would annoy me if the service from the dealer was crap after Ive done over £11K and I have to take it 100 miles in a van as my local dealer is a bit rubbish  if i break it.

Im just after some honest advice regarding the dealer good and bad I know some people expect to much but good service is high on my list.

I've bought two bikes off Kickstart, both from new.

I've had good service off them and both bikes were delivered by Paul after trading hours to Newport for no cost. But Paul does have some principles with regard to customer service that some don't like.

If you've bought a bike from him I can't see you having any problems, but some people will buy their new bikes from some bigger dealers such as DK etc, because they are generally a bit cheaper. But then expect Kickstart to give them first class service and warranty back up because they are conveniently closer.

I've even had this conversation with an Aprilia rider at Terry's. He was pissed off with Kickstart that they couldn't fit him in for his first service for over 6 weeks. But he didn't buy the bike from them. As they are a small dealer he does try to give his customers priority.

I'm seriously thinking about changing my RSV4 for the new Tuono too and might pop down there tomorrow :thumb_up. I don't think I'm going to make the open day next week as I will be travelling back from a Donington track day. I spoke to Paul last week and he had 14 manufacturing slots booked with 4 deposits taken. First one was for a standard bike  :eek

That sounds good, I would rather support my Local dealer and expect him to support me.

Just a tad over £500 quid for fully comp so lets have a look at the thing I bet its awesome.

Cheers G.

That sounds good

I haven't had much reason to order parts but there's still wide spread myths of shortages and delays.

For my last Tuono I had to order a new decal for the seat cowl. And following Pope over the Bwlch last summer a bolt and t-washer fell out of my steering damper mount. Both took less than 5 days to come in.

I think you'll also find that Aprilia are reviewing their dealer network at the moment for service/parts/stock etc, and Kickstart have set up a new website, Facebook page, new MOT waiting area.
