To be honest, the amount of money I've spent on cheap tool sets I could have probably bought decent snap on stuff by now!

I usually find that the sockets split, the ratchets bugger up and the screwdriver tips bend!

Sorry stig, please don't think I'm rubbishing your post cos I'm not, I just wanted to share my experience with cheap tool sets!

I got fed up with it so bought myself a £100 90 piece socket set and some fat max screwdrivers which were about £40, money well sent as I've used them loads with no issues. The socket set even has a lifetime guarantee!  :thumbsup

I'll never scrimp on tools again!

No worries NW
Just some can't afford snap on etc & for basic motorcycle maintenance these will soon pay for themselves in a few jobs plus you get a 12 month warranty so if they break you can take them back.

That remnds me can. Borrow your tools NW lol

No I know what you mean, i was exactly the same! I always bought cheap sets cos I didn't have the money to spend on top branded stuff! I thought it would be fine for the odd bit of tinkering, but as soon as you get a stubborn screw or slightly seized nut then they just went up to it and would let you down!

But you're right, as a starter set it's a good offer!

And no, you can't borrow my tools! :tt
