The bike we were riding on is 16 year old,  I bought it as I was looking to get back on the road for under a grand including insurance etc.  It was not to uncomfortable a journey considering.   Would like to upgrade soon but something else always to seem to crop up that requires spending at the moment, so patience are required.   Means I'm back on the road, that is good enough for me for now.
Yes, everyone else maybe melting to death on the roads but not us! Because we have a car with hair conditioner! I mean what in the name of sanity did they think we want it for? To make sure that the roof rack is more shiny and managable?

Ain't found any other write ups of the macmillan rideout yet.  It was the first me and Rhys have attended and Rhys is already asking when we are doing another one?   We ain't got anything to compare it to yet and are curious what people with more experience of rideouts thought of the day.
I was considering organising a rideout up through symmonds yacht, hereford and back through brecon for a sunday.   I would include a few nice places to Stop for a break, not to many.  Any feedback on whether it is to long or if people would be interested or anything really please get in touch to let me know before I decide to start planning a route and stops and to learn it will be a no go.
Hope to get some feedback and suggestions.

Good report ryan. Your mention of the road resurfacing on the rhigos and bwlch roads was spot on. Went over them yesterday and the surface still hasn't inproved - infact there was a road cleaner lorry sucking and sweeping up all the chippings! interesting how they didn't resurface the corners in the same stuff, they obviously know the risk of skidding on it! Not a nice road for bikes at the moment  :no

I though exactly the same about the corners and I passed 2 road sweepers as I came over the Rhigos.  Disgusting to resurface that way.

It was also nice to put a face to your name.  It makes the forum seem more personal when you can visualize the people who's posts you are replying to.
Would be nice to meet you again soon and talk to you a bit more.   It was really appreciated you coming to introduce yourself.  cheers fella.
