No, it's 106 miles to Newport from here, mostly dual carriageway and motorway-Zzzzzzzzzzz !  What it really means is that if we join a rideout over there is an extra 200+ miles and 3 hours riding to our journey. Having said that we do have some great roads down here too. Perhaps we will get our heads together and arrange a ride out. :scooter

My first 25 miles is probably the longest for me cause it's from Cardigan to Carmarthen and all B road but good for bikes but still a pain if that road is busy

I agree totally.   we will sort that out for say two Sundays after next (october 1st I think).
Got this ice cream  :feeding Rideout planned for this weekend,   it's the MAG demonstration the following weekend  :scooter  :scooter so we could arrange one for the weekend after that  :tup2 .  That sound ok with you Rhosyn and OMG?   :tup2
As you two are from that area, how do one of you fancy posting a route for this date?   :thumbsup

If you wanted to go to Burnham-on-Sea for chips  :feeding on Sunday I would ride  :scooter as far as Pont Abraham to meet you,  That's me doing more M4 miles than you as it's about 40 miles (extra half tank there and back) in the opposite direction from Newport for me.
'Last Week'  We went up past Newport on the M4 and then dual carriageway up to Ross-on-Wye before turning off to Hereford for a good ride through the Wye and and Brecon. I wouldn't call that part of the ride the most exciting but it was necessary to be able to do the rest of it which was a pleasant and scenic route.   Tramper Came from Llanelli (which is closer to you and to me than it is Newport).  If you wanna ride different Roads in different places with different people sacrifices need to be made.   :banghead
If you did do the run planned for Sunday, you would be off the motorway by 10am for a nice days riding to some lovely seaside resorts and back over the old bridge  at the end of the day and I'm sure there are alternative routes to the M4 to get back down West at the end of the day I'm Sure.
There are some willing to travel  down the M4 from the Cardiff/Newport area for a West Wales rideout  I've been informed.   :scooter  :scooter

I think I've tried my best here to be accommodating to everyone, Do we all agree on that ?  :thumb_up I hope so.

Yes, everyone else maybe melting to death on the roads but not us! Because we have a car with hair conditioner! I mean what in the name of sanity did they think we want it for? To make sure that the roof rack is more shiny and managable?

Very much doubt B-roads would be busy early on a Sunday morning.  :rofl   Clutching at straws now.

Is it right to assume that West Wales riders will ride with us if we do the Motorway down to them but it's to far for them to ride the M4 East to us.  That's not wara teg is it?   :cheers
I don't mind riding down west, actually I fancy it for a change.  Just  looking at the situation in an all round perspective that's all cariads.   :thumb_up

Come on Rhosyn and OMG, come on this ride on Sunday  :group_hug  :scooter .   I will ride up the M4 to meet you if you like and will take you back as far as Swansea before you join the M4 on the way home. That will make the mileage about equal for me then.  We'll come down your neck of the woods then in a fortnight, can't get any fairer than that.  :tup2

Where's your sense of adventure?   :fishing

When we ride down your way I would still like to meet for an early start so I can get a couple of hours sleep  :zzz before I go and work a night shift.   :banghead

I have received pm's off two riders saying they don't mind changing the route to meet up with you down west.  :group_hug
We could meet in Bridgend and ride down to camarthen to meet you.   You up for that?   :thumb_up

We could meet up somewhere near Camarthen at around 9:15 - 9:30, would that be ok with you?
Let me know and we'll change it.  Off to work now,  reply to any of your replies tomorrow.
You better know for good Ice cream  :feeding or Pricey wont be happy.   :rofl
