I hate posting stuff like this, but as you are all probably aware we lost a WB member on Monday through, as it sounds, tragic circumstances.
I met Simon and rode with him on three or four occasions. A very sensible rider, but at the same time kept a good pace. He would always hook up with me for a chat when we stopped, and came accross as he was on the site, liked a laugh, but was never over the top or out of order. A really nice genuine person.
My condolences go out to his family and fiance....... Im sure myself, along with many on this site would have had many years of friendship with him.
I just want to take the oppertunity for us to pay a bit of respect to him. Some of you will be at the funeral on May 14th, as I will. As it is so close to our rideout for the Air Ambulance, I would like to observe a minutes silence at 10:15 for Simon on the morning of the rideout. He intended to be there, and I would like all that knew him to spare a thought for his family and fiance as we leave.
Please get there so we can all get signed on by 10:00am and get that out of the way. We will then ask you all to be silent for a minute at 10:15, before starting engines and leaving.
This WAS a charity rideout for the Air Ambulance, and still is........ But Im sure many will be sparing a thought for him whilst we travel along.
Ride Free Simon. You were one of the good ones.
