Getting bouts of torrential rain in St Mellons, luckily I made it in, now it's pinging off the tank of the Bandit :'(!

On an unrelated note, will a Bandit rust up in the rain?  :eek

Just a lot!!!! :thumb_down

Give it a good wash on the weekend then cover it in ACF50, it'll be fine. I've ridden my bandit through 2 winters and the corrosion only came this year when I did cover it in ACF50 soon enough and the salt got to it  :banghead

ACF50 eh? I'll have to look into this, I normally just use WD-40 on the chromy bits, and I've got some "GT-85" spray I think, the stuff with PTFE in it, is this the same stuff?

dunno, but i saw this ..

(quote)       ¬¬ACF-50

Active Thin Fluid Film chemistry penetrates corrosion deposits where it chemically emulsifies and displaces the electrolyte. This isolation process keeps the corrosion cell deactivated.¬¬

I use (used) gt85 .. its good stuff .. it displaces also, and gives a wax film

just read... acf50 does not give a wax film

so it IS different to gt85
