Sundays Route to Ponderosa and Return
« on: April 08, 2011, 06:50:50 PM »
Seeing as nobody has passed any comments on Sundays route I have put together a route which uses the A470 to go up and the A483 & A5 to return.

Meet at Terry’s 9.30 leaving as soon as possible but no later than 10.00am

A470    to Brecon
A470    to Builth Wells                     10.30am
A470    to Rhayader
A470    to Llanurig
A470    to Llanidloes
Suggested Stop at Transport Cafe 2 miles North of Llanidloes
A470    to Caersws
A470   to Cemmaes Road
A470    to Dolgellau
A494    to Bala Lake & petrol stop in Bala if required
A494   to Druid and turn right onto A5
A494   to Clawdd Poncen
A5104 towards Horseshoe Pass A452

For the sedate among us we should arrive at The Ponderosa between  1.00 & 2.00pm

Return via  A5 South

A452 for Llangollen
A5 South towards Oswestry
A483 for Welshpool
A483 for Newtown
A483 for Llandrindod Wells with stop at Crossgates if required Coffee & Petrol
A470 Builth Wells
A470 to Brecon

Hope we have a good turn and the weather holds.
