Rideout to Scotland?
« on: June 18, 2011, 10:24:18 AM »
Ive never been to Scotland! Anyone fancy a run up there one weekend? I've got the bug since my Euro trip and now want to get some distance under my belt rather than just stopping at Terrys every weekend!!

If anyone fancies it put ya name down then we can meet up at a Pub and arrange a date, route, b n b's etc.  :thumbsup

I aiming for middle of next month and will probably have the missus with me.

What a Great idea :thumbsup. If you need any info on Scotland just ask me. The Borders, Perth, Stirling,  Loch Lomond, Inverness, Argyll, and the Highlands and Islands are all beautiful places to visit-depends on how far you want to travel :thumbsup :cya

I am a relative new comer to this forum and haven't met many people off here yet . So subject to your approval and wife approval I would be interested. The wife won't be up for it but I need to run it by her - I'm sure you know what I mean !     I will be watching this space. :thumbsup
I rode up to the Isle of Skye about 7 or 8 years ago and always wanted to go back - stunnin scenery and some lovely / empty roads

Everyone is welcome!! More the merrier.

I'm thinking up Friday and back Monday/Tuesday. No idea of route or where to head, just get across the border into Jockland and go from there. I will be packing light and doing it on a shoe string!!!!!

Right the Mrs ain't comin and she has ok'd it as long as it don't cost a lot. So for me that's £250 max. That will include petrol, sustenance and a roof over my head.

Date wise I'm pretty easy. End of July early August gives the best chance weather wise.

The Doll I were going to go on our own to Scotland sometime in the next month or so,,, We're thinking how much better it would be with some good company. We couldn't find any so we'll go with, you lot. lol. if you don't mind....as long as its minimum motoway riding cos I just fall asleep on the flaming motoway....

I've given up on the weather - we seem to be in permanent monsoon season .

The last weekend in July is world superbikes at Silverstone best avoid that weekend I guess
