Please give it all to charity.

yes ok
but which ones
you the people must decide

So are we agreed on a Motorbike Poker Run then any ho
seems a lot of rideing time could be lost if you have as many riders as the last run you had, just my thinking, may be stick to the plan you used last time that worked well

heres a plan then
what about same route as before with a
3 Card Draw Poker Run then
with 50/50 raffle at the end
as long as you leave out that narrow lane,to many bikes over heating :sweat also could the finnish be at the main leasure park at the river,(i think £15.00 may put some people off £10.00)

just an up date
on the event the drop off system will be in place

Drop-Off system of group riding.

Understanding the system is important, as every rider needs to do their part to avoid anyone getting lost.

One rider, the leader, will stay at the front and is responsible for navigating the route. Another rider, tail end charlie, will stay at the back in last position. These are the only two riders who maintain their position in the group.(expect for L,s who will stay behind the the lead rider)

At every junction, the rider immediately behind the leader stops and marks the junction and indicates the route which the other members of the group should follow. All other riders pass the marker except the 'tail end charlie'. The marker then re-joins the group in front of 'tail end charlie'.

This approach involves all the group and the marker gets rotated from front to back and naturally moves up to the front again. The method works provided everyone makes clear, safe markings and doesn't forget they are in the No.2 position, when it is their turn to mark.

Nobody other than the sweeper is allowed to ride last for any reason whatever. If you want to leave the group you should pull in to the left in a safe, visible position and wave other riders past. When the sweeper arrives he will stop and you can then inform him/her that you are leaving the group and why.

Hi,
Just an update.

Spoke to Rich Brown  from Blood Bikers about the event and what I am thinking of doing.
Easter Sunday April 15th Poker Run Event
This still has to go before the group MAG next Thurs to be oked
but been told this would be ok,I should get the full support of MAG

figures break down for poker run:
Best hand approx 17% of the take or prize,
2nd hand approx 11% of the take or prize,
and 3rd hand approx 5.5% of the take or prize ,
and worst hand will get a consolation prize ! .
In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by the drawing for a high card.or a split (winers to deside)

based on

          60 bikes = £600            100 bikes = £1000
 1st prize 17% is  £102                             £170

 2nd  prize 11% is  £66                             £110

 3rd prize 5.5% is £33                              £55

         prize     =   £201                           £335

blood bikers   =   £399                           £665

I am hoping to get Blood Bikers to bring there band along to the finish in
Symonds Yat for a bit of light entertainment

Hi,
Just an update.

Spoke to MAG & Rich Brown  from Blood Bikers about the event and what I am thinking of doing.

(2 events in one)
poker run for Blood Bikers
50/50  raffle for MAG
if you get my meaning

This still has to go before the group MAG next Thurs to be oked
but been told this would be ok,I should get the full support of MAG

figures break down for poker run:
Best hand approx 17% of the take or prize,
2nd hand approx 11% of the take or prize,

 2nd  prize 11% is  £66                             £110

 3rd prize 5.5% is £33                              £55

blood bikers   =   £399                           £665

And 50/50 raffle
when you sign up on the day and buy a raffle ticket.

50% of the raffle goes to the winner ticket drawn, and 50% goes to the charity

based on

60 bikes = £600       100 bikes = £1000

prize   =  £300                       = £500

mag     =  £300                     = £500

I am hoping to get Blood Bikers to bring there band along to the finish in
Symonds Yat  for a bit of light entertainment

Just get the girls to do it  :devil

phoned Kevin Williams (from Blood Bikes Wales) a few time to chat about an idea for event  no joy
  :scratch
so will try and email then direct will let you know what happens
Blood Bikes Wales are hoping to start running live early this year. We have a pilot (trial) run starting 3rd March In the Swansea Bridgend area. It will be running every weekend in March hopefully ironing out any unforeseen problems that may occur.
The plan is to go live as soon as we can after this event.
The blood bike members have been out and about raising money in all kinds of weather and we did quite well. Still as you can imagine, to run this type of charity takes a lot of constant fundraising all year round.
I'm sure that this being a biker site you can all realise the potential for saving lives that this idea has.
Any help in raising funds for this purpose, by anyone, is always appreciated especially as it could benefit ANYONE in Wales in the long run. Thank you.

I've added below. a message our chairman (Chris Thomas) posted on our FB site.

Chris Thomas

"One month to go before Blood Bikes Wales has its pilot (trial), we will be serving Hospitals in the Swansea to Bridgend area on weekends to start with, we now have 4 bikes to provide the service and I would like to thank the team and everyone of you for your support, Blood Bikes Wales is a charity purely run on donations without your help and donations we would not be out there SAVING LIFES and that is what it is all about, if you can help fundraise in your Community, Workplace, School etc please contact me. THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH."

There is a BB/W meeting tonight, if you've contacted Kevin about the band I'm sure you'll hear something about it soon.
