Wedge,
How about this route:
A467 to Bassaleg
A468 to Caerphilly
A470 to Taffs Well
At the roundabout, take 3rd exit. At next roundabout, take 2nd exit to Morganstown. Then onto Radyr which leads onto Llantrisant Road.
At roundabout, take 1st exit. Go past garage then at Danescourt roundabout take 3rd exit into Fairwater.
Follow the road all the way until you turn off for the Tiki bar  :cheers
