  gonna head up brecon/abergavenny sunday if anyone fancies it...f/cast is a bit warmer  nothing too rapid just getting used to new bike ..leaving cardiff mid morning

if the weathers nice i will be out on saturday prob do usk, ross, hereford, brecon etc

i will not be going out on sunday if the weathers nice as the roads you mentioned will be absolutely full of rozzers on the first sunny sunday of the year

Its January! And your worrying about the police! Now that is either a massive case of paranoia or your scare mongering for no reason..........

I can count on one hand the number of times I have been pulled over in the last five years, weekends in, weekends out......... Its not rocket science! And you know I do the milage.

Time and a place and all that.

You can do the main routes to meet up, and still get out and about and have a bit of fun later. There is no reason to avoid places if you use your head.

as you do the mileage you know where they'll be and when and so slow down in the appropriate places, what i'm saying is if its the first decent weather of the year on a sunday you know they will be out as so will all the weekend warriors that they are after .

i'll rephrase it , i dont do sundays as its the coppers favourite purge day but just be aware and keep an eye out and you should be ok.

That does sound like a better plan as I tried the Llandovery / Terrys route 2 weeks ago and just got beat up by the ice....
