Naggedhusband, were you with Pricey and Don? The Mrs and I were sitting with Shazza, Bob, Phil Evans, Snaffle and Stig, I'm sure you were right behind us  :thumbsup

That was me.  :thumb_up

Still trying to recognise who's on the forum and who's just 'ordinary bikers'...!  :roll_eyes Didn't realise you were all forum members at that table. Think I'll get an NH t-shirt so people can spot me and let me know who's who.  :thumbsup

Didn't realise us forum members were a step up on other bikers,  Well look at us.   :rofl
We'll have t-shirts and things next.
Sorry,  in one of my sarcastic moods today.  I'll stay off the forum tonight as I will end up offending someone unintentionally
'Till  tomorrow.   :cya

That's what usually happens isn't it  :rofl :rofl :rofl

Yes, everyone else maybe melting to death on the roads but not us! Because we have a car with hair conditioner! I mean what in the name of sanity did they think we want it for? To make sure that the roof rack is more shiny and managable?

Here's the design for my t-shirt, might also get it embroidered onto a polo shirt as well for a bit of class. Just trying to locate a hi-res image of the CBR logo first though.

Nice pics Don, but no hi-res there of the logo in my design. Seems it's rather hard to find a hi-res image of it, even on the Blackbird forums.

Sign petition to fight EU
By Steve Farrell -
General news
28 September 2011 16:31

An MEP is urging riders to sign a petition against EU measures to make motorcycles impossible to modify.

The petition, proposed by UKIP MEP Marta Andreasen, calls on Government, MPs and MEPs ‘to oppose in the strongest terms this proposed legislation’.

If more than 100,000 signatures are gained, parliament will have to consider a debate on the issue.

Tuning will become impossible and even home-maintenance severely hampered under plans.

So-called onboard diagnostic systems on new bikes could detect non-standard parts and trigger a warning light until the 'fault' is rectified by a dealer. Routine faults could be reported in code decipherable only be a dealer, preventing home-servicing.

Andreasen said: "My position on this is clear: I want to see this needless legislation thrown on the scrap heap. It is actually an unwarranted attack on biking culture and a way of life."

Find the petition at epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/16322

It's all MAG lies mate, no such rules are coming in.

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login I think is the site that contains the most truthful information.

In particular: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Had a response from a minister/representative in there detailing the actual legislations plans.

In short: no bulk anti tamper law, onboard diagnostics are nothing more than the usual "STOP CHECK ENGINE" light in your car, etc...

Did someone question the UKIP being involved in this anti EU scare mongering by MAG?
Like I said earlier,  written all over it, smoke screening the real issues of propagators.

And as for home maintenance, with so much technology involved on modern bikes only the bare minimum basics is achievable by most anyway, like oil, filter, plugs and bulbs.
