Stoner cant ride for shit! Cant believe Honda are willing to invest in him. When he did crap last year he blamed it on some mystery illness, whats going to be his excuse this year! Casey bloody Moaner.... :handjob I think his days in MotoGP are numbered, if he gets poor results next year he'll be riding for one of the satellite teams I expect!

Meh!! Bit harsh that. Ok, he's a moaning tw@t, but come off it, no one else could ride that Ducati like he did when he was 'on it'. He aint done much lately, granted, but losing the front end a few times just goes to show how much he is pushing. Dont get him any points, but full marks for trying. The run he had in Silverstone wasnt bad either. Dead last in the first corner to come through to 5th........ I dont really like him, but fair do's, he can ride a bike.... And I would hate to see him go.......... I'd miss oggling at his missis in the paddock!!  :drool :drool :drool

You mentioned Ferrari aswell..... My roving reporter told me that  Ferrari, as part of the deal with Ducati, may even offer him a few drives in the F1 races.  And if that isnt true...... Then why, when Rossi was in hospital, he was in contact with the Ferrari medical squad about the best ways to go about his reabilitation.  Sorry, but there is far too much smoke, for there not to be a fire with all these shennanigans. :scratch

I agree with this. The FIM would bend over backwards ten times over to get Rossi in a car on the F1 grid. Even if he is only running around mid pack, the fans, the sponsorship and the worldwide attention that this would give F1 would go a hell of a long way to disguise the fact that the racing is actually shit  :handjob

Whether Rossi would be happy running around making the numbers up is another thing. If he's only going to be there for the money then, IMO, he will be ending his career with a wimper by selling out to the highest bidder. It will be a shame.

I follow Ales Briggs, one of Rossi's mechs, on Twitter and he said a few things about wearing red next year and explaining mechanics sign their deals yearly with the manufaturers every sept but wasn't sure which garage he'll be signing with. Also given the amount of press covering this I doubt they would be so foolish as to make such a big thing of it if the rumours didn't hold water. Plus there's Rossi's upset about Lorenzo and he did say at the end of last that if Yamaha signed Jorge for 2012 he would be outer there. I myself I'm confident that the grid next year will have Rossi on the Ducati.

As for calling Stoner can't ride for shite, well the allot of the other riders would disagree with you there. Love him or hate him and he may not have the greatest off track personality but I think your talking outta your arse there bro! I think his end of year performance confirmed him as an awesome rider and that he was suffering. But hey that's my person opinion and they're just like arse holes, we all got one (arse holes of cause)  :rofl

but I think your talking outta your arse there bro!

Everyone is entitled to an opinion!

Yes it may seem a bit harsh but I'm actually a Stoner fan! I guess it was me venting about how disappointing watching Stoner has become! I was watching him when he raced in 250 and thought he would definately be one to watch for the future! When he first joined MGP he was in the kitty litter more times than I can remember but it was his rookie year so cant really complain! Then he landed a lucrative deal with a major manufacturer (on the back of finishing 8th in the championship), which was a great achievement and he delivered, winning the title! It just seems that since then his career is going backwards! Runner up 2008, nowhere last year, and not exactly impressive so far this year! It seems Hayden is also managing to tame the beast, so its not just a Stoner only bike! Lets hope things improve this year, but then people will only say everyone has capitalised on Rossi being out of the running! :scratch

And I have to agree with Fuzz, his missus would be missed!! :sma

I can see your point Ninj....

But I would be happy to have 50% of the talent the last guy on the grid has in that field. They are all special riders, and to say one of them 'cant ride for shit'.... Is errrrrrrr, a bit shit.

Hats off to every single one of them I say.

As for Stoners missis....... I would seriously consider chopping my arms off to li............  :leaving

Bloody hell mate, I'd give my left testicle to have even a tenth of the talent that these guys have!! I think the remark has been taken out of context and I'd hoped I'd covered that in my last post! Anyway this thread is about Rossi, so stop taking it off topic!  :tt

Can't even imagine how fast those GP boys are :O TV doesn't do it justice really.

I used to race against Scott Redding abit couple of years ago, and when I say race, I mean, I saw him go through the first corner and that was it hahah :P I know he did some testing on his 125 down pembrey sometime last year... lapping in the 57's, 58's! So imagine what those MotoGP guys are like :O I would like to see Rossi to Ducati though, to put an end to all the talk about 'only Stoner can ride this bike' bla bla :P
