Fair play for a 125 thats a cracking looking bike, you dont need excuses just ride it

They are lovely bikes mate, but keep on top of the chain maintenance.

I've seen a few of those now with dry, rusty chains and sprockets. With such little horse power to start with you will want to make sure that as much as possible is reaching the rear wheel.

Ive found She handles really well, it's a very light bike compared the aprillia rs125 I rode before. The chain was one thing my brother told to keep an eye on, there are a few bikes round near me with a big rust build up on chains and sprockets. Shame really.....

Invest a fiver in some paddock stand bobbins that screw into your swingarm (take 30 seconds to fit) and a cheap rear paddock stand on ebay for about 15 quid (chinese)

This will be worth every penny as you can freely spin the rear wheel which makes chain cleaning and rear wheel cleaning, as well as other maintenance a hell of a lot easier

One of these came down the bike shop today. They look really trick for a 125.

Cant remember what can was on it... Leo Vinci I think. Sounded really good with it on. Had a really deep note. Didnt realise it was a 125 when I heard it coming, it was so loud.

Hhmm thats not a bad idea Pope. I think i'll do that. It does make it a lot easier for cleaning! :-)

If you get an OXFORD paddock stand (bit more expensive) they're a lot easier to get onto and you can do it 1 handed

Sounds like a good idea  , going out to buy some more gear tomorrow, waterproofs, new trousers, some boots and new bike cover, so look at getting some stand bobbins too. Mate of mine has a paddock stand so I could always use his until I get one.

Bobbins are cheap as chips, they sell them in Hein Gericke I think as well.
Makes it quick and easy to also check wheel bearings and to even remove the rear wheel if needed.  i'd be lost without my stands

if you need to do an oil change as well, gives you more room under the bike
With a 125 it will be a piece of piss getting it on the stand

I'm pretty sure the YZF-R125 doesn't have threaded lugs to take paddock stand bobbins. You'll have to use a stand with swing arm cups instead.
