New undercover police bike -
« on: July 02, 2010, 09:25:53 PM »
Spotted this in the Taffs Well traffic centre this evening

Black VFR800 VTEC.  Didn't get chance to get the plate as it was parked with the front facing me.

Very hard to spot  :thumb_down

this i dont agree with. The police should be visible at all times in my opinion.

If their object is to maintain public saftey, then they should be seen clearly in order to aid this.

fucking dickheads

Bathplugs we got stopped in north Wales by a unmarked VFR they are almost impossible to spot in your mirrors until the lights come on

I can see & understand why unmarkeds are so widely used.......

Boy Racers drive like right idiots the majority of the time...but as soon as they get a whiff of ANYTHING likely to be the Old Bill, they behave and you would think butter wouldn't melt in their mouths..

Some bikers are the same, using the roads as a racetrack, riding like complete dickheads...Two came past my place the other day, obviously racing.....TON +...opposite a kids play area in a 30 limit , where there is an accident blackspot!!and to top it all of,,,,,they were in T shirts & shorts...... :shocked

Like everything else...it's the idiot minority who spoil it for everyone else...everyone goes over the speed limit..anyone who says they don't is a damn liar......it's down to the time & Place.........we all like to give it the beans on the throttle now and again.....but how many would crack it wide open in a residential area with kids running around....... :scratch

Now unmarked vehicles are used to catch them out, but then this has an effect on everyone else, who gets tarred with the same brush..........

I agree with everything you say there BD its just that these unmarked vehicles are rarely around the schools and play areas. They're all hiding behind bushes on the A470 where giving it the beans occasionally, doesnt really harm anyone!

To be fair..they also get a hell of a lot of uninsured & drink drivers as well..and the numpty's on mobile phones.. :thumb_down
And a few of the guys who operate them are bikers themselves, so they kind of understand bikes & bikers...I suppose it comes down to what happens on the day, and wether or not your pulling a 100mph minger ending in an outrageous stoppie.......(Mentioning no names....... :scratch)

Don't get me wrong..I do pull bikes over, just to check it's not been nicked and it's insured...especially if the person riding is in a sleeveless T shirt and shorts.......
If you have and can afford the nice sports bike, why don't you have the proper riding kit..alarm bells start ringing.....is it because you've just nicked it and are buggering off a bit sharpish, or can't you afford the proper kit, if so, can you afford the insurance for that bike?????

Dark Visors...pah!! I wear dark sunglasses..same thing isn't it :scratch
Loud cans....and.......what's the problem..mine runs on standard, just because I like it that way...by putting expensive aftermarket parts on the bike strikes me as someone who looks after their kit and is more likely to be compliant with things like Insurance etc....
