M4 average speed camera's

Good news it looks  they have been taken down westbound from the Coldra in Newport. Bad news is the variable speed cameras look like they are up and running and I went through the first one at 70 when they were indicating 50 - hopefully got away with it

Not all of those gantries have actual cameras on them, my observation was that only about one third of them have a camera, i cant remember if the first one has one or not.

If you were on the bike then as the cameras are forward facing you should be ok at that sort of speed.

the cameras are rear facing GATSO type so if no flash you will be ok

Checked on the way past tonight. The first one has no cameras the second one does. Not sure yet about any further west than the Coldra.
